Getting ready to make a splashTuesday, October 16 - 2012 V.Ships Poland is gearing up to host a special two-day event showcasing the company's exciting careers for life available in the offshore, oil and gas industry. Around 100 people are expected to visit the company's Offshore Conference at the Gdynia, Hotel Nadmorski, taking place between November 27 and 28, with guests including ship owners, Polish Maritime Authority representatives, members of the Maritime Academy and V.Ships management. Maciek Bejm, General Manager of V.Ships Poland, thinks it will be a fantastic chance to promote the opportunities available in this sector. He said: "V.Ships is one of the largest global providers of maritime services and we are rapidly expanding our offshore crew management capabilities. "That is why I'm really looking forward to promoting the work V.Ships Poland is doing, particularly with regards to the DP [dynamic positioned] fleet. "V.Ships personnel - including senior officers working on-board our Transpetro DP shuttle tankers - will be invited to share their experiences and see what other offshore projects are taking place, as well as what future opportunities we have in store. "We will also have discussions about what challenges there are within offshore crewing, as well as tackling DP requirements, training and development programmes. "I'm confident we will attract many more new candidates and improve our aim of becoming a first choice employer in this field, promoting careers for life within the company in line with the Group strategy."
