POMI has been recognised for their contribution to the economy with a prestigious award by the Philippine National Government.

Pacific Ocean Manning, Inc. (POMI) was awarded the Award of Excellence during a ceremony on February 10th, 2014, at the Rizal Hall of Malacanang Palace in the Philippines. Captain Amador Servillon, President of POMI, accepted the award for sustained level of excellence in providing beneficial employment to Filipino workers.

Ms. Rosalina Baldoz, Secretary of the Department and Labor and Employment, congratulated all the awardees who have all passed the rigorous screening of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and further commended them for having espoused the values and principles of workers' protection through ethical recruitment.

President Benigno Aquino III led the ceremony which honoured 18 manning and recruitment firms that have excelled in the deployment of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) whose remittances have become essential to the Philippine economy.

In his speech, the President thanked the awardees for helping the government in protecting the rights of the Philippines' present day heroes.

There are currently about 400 manning agencies providing crewing services in the Philippines and this award arrives just as we expand our operation in the area with the investment into a new 6,700 square meters facility to be located in the bustling Aseana Central Business District.
