New home for V.Ships ManilaWednesday, January 21 - 2015 Filipino seafarers were welcomed into V.Ships Manila's new home on Friday 12th December. The team moved into their new larger office in Aseana City in December and hosted a soft launch event to introduce seafarers, employees, and delegates of V.Group to the new facilities. The new office features spacious waiting areas and lounges, world-class training rooms with simulators, a new top-notch culinary training centre and fine dining rooms for employees. These amenities will serve to help the company further expand its crewing capability and other marine services in the Philippines as well as to inspire our valuable crew members and shore staff. A new computerised queuing and screening process for seafarers using cutting edge technology has also been implemented to help recruitment procedures run smoothly. POMI President Capt. Amador Servillon and NSMSC President Mrs. Rosalina Cerdina commented that while the previous office location, which had been home to V.Ships Manila for over 10 years, was well positioned for a developing manning business, the new office would meet the requirements of today's growing industry. Although many good times were had at the old office the team are happy to be in their new building which has space for lots of new memories to be made. The move to a new and larger office that better suits the needs of the organisation and its seafarers signals the continued commitment of V.Group to invest in the region. The location enjoys easy access to major transport routes as well as being close by the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and the Department of Foreign Affairs' newest processing centre. Aseana City is a thriving area surrounded by shopping centres, restaurants and entertainment parks and a growing business centre that employs thousands of Filipino workers including seafarers. Jamie Stewart, V.Group Representative, Philippines, said: "The timing of the move is auspicious. With all the new developments, new office and renewed brand and concepts, everything is indeed working together for V.Ships." An official launch event will be held later this year. V.Ships Manila is comprised of Pacific Ocean Manning Inc. (POMI), North Sea Marine Services (NSMS), Kestrel Shipping Incorporated, V.Manpower Philippines, and culinary programme V.Catering. The new office is located at Bradco Avenue Aseana II, Aseana City Parañaque, 1702.
