V.Ships will always require an interview before offering you a position, and will never issue contracts without receiving references and qualifications in advance.

The scammers ask you to apply for a Commonwealth Maritime Security Identification Card (CMSIC) for Australia, or something similar. There is a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) which is issued in Australia. Please see the website address for further information. You should never apply for a visa when only provided with a Western Union number / ID.

All Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) email addresses in Australia end with while offshore they end with and therefore you may wish to check the email addresses on the correspondence sent to you regarding a visa.
